Menopause Incontinence

Hmmm - now I know it’s not a great subject to talk about, but those pesky hormones have a lot to do with fluid retention, burping, flatulence and urinary problems during the menopause.


More than 40% of menopausal women suffer from in

continence, and this tends to fall into three catagories:-

1. Stress incontinence

2. Urge incontinence

3. Overflow incontinence

Incontinence is caused by the pelvic muscles becoming

weaker due to the drop in estrogen.

 There are several treatments available though;

If all else fails, you may need to visit a doctor, incase a surgical procedure is required.
